A U-ring is a lip seal: system pressure pushes its lips against the rod or bore, so it seals tighter as pressure rises. This one is made in polyurethane (PU), which resists wear and extrusion far better than rubber.

It is rated for pressures up to 250 bar (25 MPa) and temperatures from −30 °C to +80 °C, at sliding speeds up to 0.5 m/s.
