Vee packing is a stack of V-shaped rings between a male and a female adaptor. The stack can be tightened as it wears, which makes it a good choice for large, slow or worn cylinders. This one is made in nitrile (NBR), which handles mineral oils, greases and water well.

It is rated for pressures up to 40 MPa (400 bar) and temperatures from −30 °C to +110 °C, at sliding speeds up to 0.5 m/s.
